I can't let a year go by, can I?
I will bring some of the many photos I've taken in the interim when I have some more time.
For now, let me simply post that I have seen the most amazing sight this week. On my way to work I spied a stationwagon parked in the bike-lane on College. Nothing unusual in that but there was something more going on. A police car stopped beside the wagon and words were exchanged. An engine started and the lane was cleared.
I have never, never ever seen an officer intervene in a bike-lane violation in all my years of riding daily. I was moved.
The fact that I passed 6 or 7 vehicles parked in the bike-lane along the 4 blocks leading up to this event cut into the magic feeling but I had to acknowledge that any action, however inadequate, is progress.
